Shaftless Machines
Shaftless takeup and payout machines that handle the largest and heaviest reels without requiring an axle shaft. Self-propelled, HMI-controlled, and hydraulic models.
Shaftless Machines for Oversized and Heavy Reels
Graham International shaftless machines handle the largest and heaviest reels without requiring an axle shaft through the reel core. Instead of lifting and threading a shaft through a multi-thousand-pound reel, our shaftless designs cradle the reel on powered rollers or turntable systems — eliminating the most dangerous and time-consuming step in reel handling. Every shaftless machine is designed, engineered, and manufactured in Michigan, USA.
Our shaftless lineup includes the E125T20 self-propelled extrusion takeup system with HMI touchscreen controls, zero-turn maneuverability, and automatic level-wind capability. The H20SP Shaftless Payout handles reels up to 20,000 pounds with hydraulic lift and powered rotation. The HSP11-15C shaftless payout covers mid-range applications. The Automatic Extrusion Reeling System provides fully automated takeup for continuous extrusion lines.
Shaftless machines are essential for operations handling reels too heavy or too large to safely load on traditional shaft-based equipment. By removing the shaft requirement, these machines dramatically reduce loading time, eliminate shaft-threading injuries, and handle reel sizes that conventional machines cannot accommodate. Every shaftless machine ships with wearproof components and is backed by our 2-year component plus 5-year craftsmanship warranty.
